Audi R8 5.2 V10 FSI Quattro

The Germans has done it again! The Audi R8 is another wonder to merge from the car manufacturing Germany! Audi has of course manufactured different versions of the R8. There is the Coupe version, the Spyder, and the GT. Today we will be talking about the Audi R8 5.2 FSI Quattro.

The R8 5.2 is powered by a V10 engine and 525 horsepower. In just 3.9 seconds you are driving at 100 km/h. When you have passed 12 seconds you are driving at a fuming speed of 200 km/h! The V10 The top speed of this car is about 316 km/h. This is due to the new invention the FSI technology. The R8 drives about 6,8-7,3 kilometers per liter. The Quattro means that the car has a 4 wheel drive system. The V10 R8 has some different details, the air intake system on both sides of the car and the twin system exhaust. The new 19-inch wheels are a special item that is unique to the V10 version. The R8 V10 will also be equipped with LED (light-emitting diode) lights, front and back. Audi is saying that the R8 V10 will be the first production car with a full LED lighting system. The price of the Audi R8 V10 is £103,810 or around $150,000. Jeremy Clarkson has said “This is very possibly, the best car I’ve ever driven, that good!” He also stated that the R8 was “Staggering, unbelievably, sensational” Jeremy also said that the R8 V10 was a better car on a track than the Bugatti Veyron. Audi has said that the R8 is the slowest car they have ever built (Movie below is a commercial from Audi).

I believe that the R8 V10 is a little similar to the Audi TT. The R8 is a really beautiful car, it is defiantly one of my new favorite cars, but I don’t believe it is as good as the Murciélago, or the MP4-12C McLaren. The Audi R8 5.2 V10 Quattro would not be my first choice of car to buy, but if I didn’t have as much money it would probably be a better choice than another car like a Lamborghini. But I believe it has some unique looks and that is only found on the R8, for example the side air-intake I believe is a very unique look from Audi and is something that is not found else where on any other car. I believe that the R8 V10 is the best sport car Audi has ever produced, and to get that result I can see why the Audi manufacturer takes longer to produce this fabulous car.
Audi already have plans to release a new Audi R8 GT for 2011, it will have an increase in horsepower and acquire various new looks. I am looking forward to seeing how long Audi will keep producing the R8 and how they will keep adding new inventions.
